This year we added a custom made 35 foot parachute dress to the studio. The senior's that have taken on this dress have been KILLING IT! Before we talk about THE DRESS, let's meet this gorgeous young lady.
My next class of 2021 senior is Kirsten from Orangeville High School in Illinois. I had the pleasure of taking Kirsten's older sister's portraits several years ago and I was happy to see her family return for her experience.
Kirsten designed her session to start at the gorgeous Aboretum in Dubuque. The fall color was perfect and I loved the personal touches (heart sunglasses) Kirsten chose to bring to her session. From here we headed downtown for some beautiful textures and even more fall vibes. I loved this young lady's wardrobe. The layering was spot on, her eyes were STUNNING, and the locations added a cute "edge" to her gallery.
To end our first evening we headed to the country for some fall water portraits. Yes, the water was cold. No, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Although, Kirsten may have a different point of view. This location is one of my senior's favorites but it truly takes on a whole different "personality" during the fall season. The sunset was beautiful and added a glow of fall that is just stunning.
Then came the DRAMA! The best kind of drama, a gorgeous, in your face, 35 foot parachute dress. Kirsten absolutely rocked it. The wind wasn't on our side to start with but by the end of the session the light and the weather made for some epic shots. Thank you to Kirsten, her family, and friends, for helping "fluff" this dress and make it happen that evening.
Kirsten, you are a sweetheart and I thank you for trusting me with your senior portrait experience. I hope you had an amazing time and I can't wait to see all the things you accomplish in your next chapter. Enjoy!
