I love and adore my seniors. Each year I get to meet amazing young men and women and celebrate what makes them tick. I have the pleasure, for a brief moment, to become part of their "family". I get to see through a mom or dad's eyes, how they see their soon to be graduate and attempt to capture that in beautiful artwork. I LOVE my job.
However, each year, I always run across at least one or two seniors that make my creative heart soar. They are fearless, allow me to be as crazy as I want to be, they truly trust in my vision, and our personalities just click. Miss Sophie has been such a joy to work with this year. I have enjoyed her sweet and bubbly personality. I always knew I could count on her to show up with a smile at the beginning of the day and leave with one after a grueling day of shooting. Sophie is also, seemingly, unaware of just how beautiful she is not only on the inside but on the outside as well. Mom and dad have done an amazing job raising such a humble and down to earth young woman.
My hope is for each of my reps to enter their experience with me and learn some things about themselves, have an amazing time, and walk away a little taller. I've had three of my five girls come to the studio for their reveals. To see portraits from the first session(s) to now, it's amazing how much older and more confident these girls photograph. Miss Sophie is no exception. From the gorgeous and dramatic red dress, to her "Once" inspired this is me, and of course her storm portraits (dad requested lighting... I one upped it with a tornado), Sophie's experience truly captures her personality. She as bright and bold as a strike of lighting but after the storm you have a rainbow.
Thank you for being part of the senior rep program and for trusting me to capture your senior portrait experience. I look forward to seeing you succeed and I wish you nothing but the best. Enjoy!
