Let me raise my hand and admit that I, the photographer, hate getting in front of the camera. I totally understand all the thoughts that run through ones' mind when having to get the family portrait updated. Will the kid(s) behave? How do I dress my family for pictures? What am I going to look like in front of the camera? The mere thought of having to coordinate everyone, everything, and not lose your mind is stressful. I TOTALLY GET IT.
With all that being said, let’s talk about the importance of getting the family portrait updated. Your family, right now, is never going to be the same. From yesterday to today, you’ve changed. Are these big changes? So big that you’d notice? Maybe not. But your family is ever changing. Time is always against us. I don’t mean that in a somber way, it’s actually very exciting. The kids are growing and these tiny humans are transforming into amazing people. Your family dynamic will transform with each year from diaper changes, to school schedules, to driving lessons, and then you’re packing them for college. A portrait is the one way we have to slow down time and preserve today. That’s pretty awesome, right? Capturing today because tomorrow is one step closer to the next chapter.
That still doesn’t mean planning for a portrait session is your favorite thing in the whole wide world. That’s where I come in. Believe it or not, this OCD photographer loves to plan. From wardrobe to locations, and all the in-betweens, I love planning a portrait session. However, once a year, I embrace all the over-worked families that just don’t have the time or the patience (mainly the men of the family) for portraits, and I offer my ever popular Annual Fall Family Mini Sessions. These sessions are great for families who are short on time or want to try out the Candid Touch Photography experience. I have many long standing return clients but I love meeting new families!
Fall Mini Sessions are super quick 20 minutes sessions for families up to 5 people. (Can add two additional people for 20 dollars a person). This year I will be offering two dates with two completely different locations. October 8th will be in a park setting amongst the beautiful fall color. October 15th will be urban in a downtown district for those that want something a little edgier or different. Due to the fast-paced nature of these sessions, I do not recommend this experience for families with children 1 and under. (Please contact me about a full session). Fall Minis are 275 and come with a 125 credit to be used at your reveal session. You can expect 15 beautifully enhanced portraits to choose from during the reveal session. I have created special collections for these minis that include custom holiday cards. Collections start at 345.
My Annual Fall Family Minis are incredibly popular and have always sold out. Book today to ensure your date and time! Want the full portrait experience? Let’s plan a session that truly tells the story of your family. I still have dates available for full family sessions through the end of the year!
