Operation Christmas Child 2022

For the second year the studio has run the Candid Community Gives Back project. Through my Senior Rep and Ambassador program I offer the opportunity to win a college scholarship through the studio. Each Rep and Ambassador is then on a journey to earn points and the senior with the most points at the end of the year in each program (rep and ambassador) then wins the scholarship. In connection with my Rep / Ambassador program I created the Candid Community Gives Back project to encourage these seniors to get involved in their communities and find ways to give back. The studio sponsored 3 local non-profits this year: The Grant County Regional Humane Society, Senior United In Nutrition (The Sun Program of Benton Wisconsin) and Operation Christmas Child (through the Leadmine Primitive Methodist Church).

This Saturday we celebrated our last sponsored non-profit, “Operation Christmas Child”. We gathered at the studio, counted the donations, listened to Christmas Music and then packed some Christmas boxes for Operation Christmas Child. If you’re unfamiliar with this cause Operation Christmas Child, through the Leadmine Primitive Methodist Church, will ship these simple gifts outside the United States to children affected by war, poverty, natural disaster, famine, and disease; and to children living on Native American reservations in the U.S. Bringing the magic of Christmas to children who may otherwise not receive anything this holiday season.

Last year we packed 20 boxes and I was so thrilled with the outcome for our first year sponsoring this great cause. This year, I was absolutely blown away by the amount of effort, love and excitement this group of young women and the community provided. On Saturday we packed over 42 boxes for Operation Christmas Child! That is HUGE! Though we may be a tiny group, we are MIGHTY! What an amazing impact these boxes will have on so many children around the world.

I cannot thank my Reps and Ambassadors enough for all of their hard work this year and devotion to the Candid Community Gives Back projects. Every single one of our local non-profits this year received more donations this year than the previous year. From the bottom of my heart thank you for making this entire year such a success.
