I was so excited to have Sam and his family back for his senior portraits this year. I have had the pleasure of photographing this family for more than 6 years. I've watched this family grow over the years and it made my heart happy to see the much taller, more mature, handsome Sam show up for his senior portraits. Any portrait session with this family is fun and Sam's portrait experience was no exception.
During the design consult Sam expressed a want for some "urban" portraits as well as a location with a view. We started our evening traveling around the downtown district of Dubuque. I loved all the textures, his clothing was spot on, and this young man can nail the serious look. Am I right?! After Dubuque we took a pitstop in Downtown Galena. I love these old buildings and they added another great element to Sam's gallery.
However, our next location was by far everyone's favorite and most anticipated. We headed toward the big city of Scales Mound IL. On our way the storm clouds came rolling in and unfortunately we couldn't beat them to the location. Another night was scheduled for sunset portraits with an amazing view. I would say it was worth the wait. It's always like you're sitting on top of the world. Amazing!
Sam, thank you for your patience, allowing us to pick at you (rolled sleeves are so cool now), and for being a lot of fun during your session. I wish you nothing but the best of luck for your senior year. I know your NEXT chapter will be amazing. Enjoy!
