I'd like to introduce you to Miss Tess, a class of 2024 senior from Fennimore High School. This young lady has been part of my 2023-2024 Senior Rep Team. When I met Tess, it was obvious she was going to be my quiet and reserved Rep. In fact, I was worried I may scare her with some of my crazy. However, Tess has really opened up and grown in confidence through this program. Over the past year we have taken some incredible portraits together, she has donated her time giving back to the community through the Candid Community project, and she and her Mom traveled to Montana for some one of a kind, stunning portraits. It's been so awesome to see the change in Tess from our first day together to our last.
Tess took part in 4 stylized sessions as a senior rep. These are sessions that are not your "typical" senior portrait session. These sessions encourage the girls to step outside their comfort zone and be a little creative with their experience. One thing to note, Tess's decade is for sure the 90's. She looked the part perfectly during this stylized session.
During Tess's consultation it was decided we were going to do a little bit of everything that I offer. This included a milk bath session that included beautiful pastel colors and some of her favorite cereal. If you look close at the spoon it says "cereal killer". Tess also took on the amazing 35' parachute dress. The sunset was so pretty and Tess rocked the floral corset! Last but not least of her add on sessions, Tess came into the studio to take on the Green Screen Experience. We captured her love of Volleyball, Basketball, and Golf. You can tell Tess is in her element when she puts on a jersey. She was up to try anything at the studio and did absolutely amazing with her action shots.
For Tess's "regular" session we wanted to choose locations that she hadn't had before throughout her entire experience with the studio. We chose to start with some gorgeous fall color in Benton before heading for Historic Downtown Dubuque. Tess wore a gorgeous striped jumpsuit that her older sister wore for her senior session. I loved this classy look before she changed into a "very Tess outfit" for under the overpass. This outfit wouldn't be complete without a basketball in hand. For our last location we did a tour of all the best spots in Galena. From girly to sporty we hit all the looks to end our time together. Galena is always so perfect for that beautiful old world feel.
I want to thank Tess and her family for choosing me to capture so many of her memories this past year. This year has been quite an adventure and it's been an honor to get to know Tess and her Mom. From Montana to all the add on sessions, I hope I was able to help create some truly priceless memories. Tess, thank you for trusting the crazy and I look forward to seeing the amazing things you accomplish in the future. Enjoy.
