I'd like to introduce you to Lucas, a class of 2024 senior from River Ridge High School. Lucas brought me two trucks and an incredible evening shooting sports portraits.
Lucas's mom contacted me last year to bookmark a spot for senior portraits for this year. So to say these sessions have been in the planning, would be an understatement. Lucas is an old soul, very reserved, loves football and baseball, and wanted to include two of his favorite vehicles. I'm always happy to capture an old truck and I loved these sunset sport portraits.
Our first night, I traveled down to Elizabeth Illinois to capture an old country road and Lucas's red truck. Lucas is very active in FFA. This was an important part of his session. On our way back to Benton we pulled over and jumped into a cornfield, literally, for some pretty awesome portraits. Truly one of a kind and a great location for capturing his love of FFA. To end our first night we had a gorgeous sunset next to one of my favorite old bridges. It doesn't get more midwest than an old truck, a cornfield, a letterman's jacket, and a football. Perfect night!
Our second evening kicked off with a gorgeous vintage truck. LOVED this beautiful view and backdrop as we captured all the angles of this retro ride. To end our evening we headed to River Ridge high school for sunset portraits on the baseball and football field. It's always exciting to see a senior in their element. The interests that truly make them tick. As soon as we hit the football field, Lucas was a different guy and even allowed me to capture some more "intense" poses. Beast mode activated!
I want to thank Lucas and his family for choosing me to capture this important milestone. I wish Lucas the very best as he starts is final chapter in high school and begins his next story! Enjoy!
