Horses, softball, and a little touch of girly

First, I want to thank this incredibly poised, sweet, and beautiful young lady for helping make one of my photography dreams come true. For years I have been hoping to have a client come along and ask to have portraits taken with their horse. Not only did Garrett want horse portraits but she brought me not one but two!

Miss Garrett was one of eight involved in my first ever Tween Model Team, the Junior Crew. In hopes to create a personal experience and capture the amazing activities and passions these 12 to 14 year olds have, I invited them to help me design a personal session. Garrett loves rodeo and softball but she still loves to be just a pretty girl. I loved embracing her rodeo talents as well as having her select a dress for some more feminine portraits with her horses Maddy and Jewel. The light was amazing and the first part of her personal session had such a magical feel. Then Miss Garrett was all business in her rodeo attire complete with personalized buckle. I truly loved every moment of her session. 

Some of you may know that my Mom is my assistant on all my shoots. She dearly loves horses but it's been many years since she has owned any or even rode one. A big thank you to Andrea and Garrett for sharing your beautiful horses with us. At the end of the session they made sure to have my mom and myself take a few moments and ride Miss Maddy around the park. I enjoyed it very much but from the bottom of my heart I thank you for giving my mom the opportunity to enjoy her for a few moments. It was something special. Your family is so down to earth and we have enjoyed getting to know you all!
