Miss Monica is another member of my first ever Tween Model Team, the Junior Crew. The goal of this team was to create a one of a kind personal experience to celebrate each of these 12 to 14 year olds talents, interests, and passions. I invited Monica to help me design a session that was all about her and I was amazed to learn of all of her athletic accomplishments. However, as much as she is an unbelievable athlete, this young lady loves all things fashion and girly. After all, who says you can't be intense on the ball field but a girly fashionista after practice?
For Miss Monica's session she chose an amazing purple jumpsuit and wanted to have something a little more "urban" for her portraits. After visiting the Historic Millwork District in Dubuque, it was quite obvious that Miss Monica is a natural in front of the camera. Absolutely stunning is the perfect way to describe these portraits! We then headed a little closer to home and spent our evening at the track and ball field. Miss Monica is quite the accomplished track athlete and she is super accurate when jumping hurdles. Thank you for not landing on me!
I asked Monica if she wanted to do something a little different for her portraits that involved her love for softball. Thankfully she was happy to just go with the crazy! The entire inspiration for her "fierce princess" portraits is to embrace the idea that female athletes can be strong, fierce, and competitive on the field and still be girly and feminine off the field. Embracing their beauty and athleticism all in one portrait. She was fantastic and these portraits are drop dead gorgeous.
Monica's slideshow celebrates her entire experience with the Tween Model Team. Thank you for trusting me to capture your portraits!
