I was super excited to have Carson in the studio this year. He is the second sibling from the Reese family to step in front of my camera! Carson loves the outdoors and all things sports. For his session we wanted to make sure to capture both of those passions.
For the first half of Carson's session we headed to Eagle Point park in Dubuque Iowa. The trees, the rocks, the huge group of turkeys made for an great first stop. To end our 1st evening together we headed to the Southwestern high school athletic facility The new fields at Southwestern are absolutely amazing and you could definitely tell that Carson was in his element once the jerseys came on. We captured baseball as well as football and even had him dress up a little for some of his football portraits. I am a sucker for a guy who is willing to put on some dress clothes for a unique take on sports portraits.
On our second day of shooting, Carson joined me in studio for an extreme sports portrait session. Again we were capturing baseball and football but also added in weight lifting and even some fishing portraits. Carson's laid back attitude and great sense of humor made for a fun afternoon before we headed outdoors for some truly dramatic bridge portraits. The vision may have been sunset by the bridge however a storm started to roll in. We didnt get rained out, what we did get was some truly epic portraits.
I want to thank Carson and his family for choosing me to capture his senior portrait experience. I wish you nothing but the very best in your future and as you start your new chapter. Enjoy.
