Taking a small break to catch up on the blog today. I want to make sure to share and celebrate some of the amazing seniors I have had this year. Miss Shallan is a class of 2020 Senior from Platteville High School. Her giggle is infectious, she approaches everything with a smile, and with just one conversation you know this girl has a huge heart. I'm also a sucker for anyone who is an animal lover and Shallan's puppers Melvin and Mabel had to come along for portraits too!
Shallan's session took us to the River Walk in Dubuque to start. Shallan's beautiful blue kimono made her gorgeous blue eyes sparkle and those dogs are just too cute for words! After getting all the giggles out we were set to take on the Historic Millwork District. I was super excited because I always love new locations. Shallan's Dad has just remodeled one of the amazing old spaces in the Millwork District for his office. I loved the old brick, the amazing wood floors, and got a new perspective from the roof top!
It's amazing how an outfit change can also alter a personality. I love how sassy Miss Shallan was in her animal print and leather jacket and it was a great mix of texture in the downtown district!
To end our time together we captured the most beautiful sunset. I strive to get to know my clients the best I can before and during their sessions. Shallan, you were an absolute joy to work with and each location was more and more perfect. You're a gorgeous girl from the inside out and I thank you for choosing me to capture your senior portrait experience. Keep smiling, keep giggling, and always twirl (even if it's awkward). Enjoy!
