I'd like to introduce you to Miss Maizy a class of 2025 senior from Warren High School. Miss Maizy is a three sport athlete, loves fashion, and an absolute sweetheart. We spent a lot of time together this year from summer to fall capturing all her passions!
A little background, Miss Maizy, though she doesn't really remember, is part of the FIRST FAMILY I ever had the pleasure of capturing when I started my photography career. What a time warp now to see her all grown up and absolutely stunning.
For our first session together we traveled around the clock tower area of Dubuque capturing some sophisticated portraits. I loved the looks amongst all the corporate buildings. We then headed for Galena. I loved the mix of new and old in this session. Galena, with its beautiful vintage charm, did not disappoint. From cobblestone walkways to thick greenery, it was the perfect backdrop for this portion of Maizy's session. Our last stop of the night was to capture a "flower field at sunset". I love this location because of the big sky line and blooming wildflowers. The light to end our evening was so soft and subtle.
We next met up to capture her three sports; Volleyball, Softball, and Hockey. We started in the gym with Volleyball before heading to the Softball field. It was SO windy during our session but I think the wind added to the intensity and beauty of these portraits. SPORTraits are quickly starting to become my favorite sessions. The lighting was spot on but we were happy to head into the hockey rink to get out of the wind. Maizy has been a hockey player for as long as I can remember. I LOVE it. As a hockey fan myself, I'm always up to capture some portraits on the rink. The dramatic lighting and those stunning brown eyes made for an epic end to our night.
Last but certainly not least, we headed to the beautiful Oak Hill property for fall color. Oak hill has so many stunning locations around the property from bridges to rock structures, gorgeous barns, vintage cars, and a pond complete with fountain. It was a photographer's dream and the icing on the cake for this flawless senior portrait experience.
I want to thank Maizy and her family for choosing me to capture so many of her memories this year. It was an absolute pleasure bringing your vision to life and creating such a stunning experience. I wish Maizy the best in her senior year and as she begins her next chapter. Enjoy!
