**Disclaimer** I do not photograph weddings. I have been asked, a lot, and many of my current and past clients have requested, begged, and bribed but I stopped photographing weddings 6ish years ago. However, I have done beautiful engagement sessions and wedding recreations.**
Jennifer and Damien came to me in 2018 to photograph their engagement session. They loved my style and artistry. Gorgeous fall colors and a wonderful couple made for a beautiful portrait session. We fast forward to October 2020 and for their 1 year wedding anniversary they asked me to photograph a wedding recreation. What is a wedding recreation? I have done several of these sessions for past clients. These are full sessions dedicated to the Bride and Groom and the main purpose is to get intimate, artistic, creative portraits that may not have been achieved on the wedding day. Bonus it's also a new beautiful location for the gallery as well. I'm always humbled when a client requests a session like this because they are asking me to create new art in memory of one of the most memorable days of their lives. With my photographic style it puts a different spin on their wedding portraits.
For this Wedding Recreation we shot during their anniversary month. It would figure it rained on their wedding day and it rained during the recreation session one year later. Rain on your wedding day is said to be good luck so, DOUBLE THE LUCK! We stayed in and around the Benton area and wanted to match the same rustic tone and feel of their 2019 wedding day. Adding in a little bit of drama and stylization with the water portraits, this Bride was not afraid to get a little wet in a cold October creek.
This couple is so sweet and I've enjoyed working with them over the past two years. It's wonderful to be able to witness your client's story unfold in front of you. Thank you for trusting me to capture these memories for you and I hope you cherish them for decades to come. Enjoy!
