They say that big things can come in small packages. That rings true for my youngest tween from the model team this year. Miss Megan was one of eight involved in my first ever Tween Model Team, the Junior Crew. In hopes to create a personal experience and capture the amazing activities and passions these 12 to 14 year olds have, I invited them to help me design a personal session. This feisty 12 year old was so excited for the team powder throw that she wanted in on the action during her personal session. However, before Mom got the chance to pelt her with pink powder we captured some beautiful water portraits. The water has been pretty fickle this year. With all the rain at the beginning of summer, we've had a lot of flooding in our favorite spot. Our normally tame "rapids" have been a little too fast and deep for my liking but the high water created some beautiful mini waterfalls.
I loved her sunset session. Her sweet burgundy dress matched with that gorgeous smile made for a perfect evening. We dodged a few curious cows, chased the beautiful light, and ended the evening with a magical pink powder experience. Megan, thank you for always having a smile on your face, an optimistic attitude, and I adore that infectious giggle. I was initially worried that you'd be intimidated or shadowed by some of the older tweens but you absolutely held your own and made a mark on our little group. I hope you had an amazing experience and to Mom and Dad, great job. She is growing into a sweet and beautiful young lady.
