First let me say I hope you and your family are safe and healthy. The last four months have been unreal. Navigating the storm as a business owner has been hard enough but also learning how to live a new "normal" has been challenging. I will admit that learning to have a much slower lifestyle and truly appreciating all that I have right at home has been an eye opener. It's made me realize how fast time has gone (though the last four months have seemed painfully slow in some regards) and that I need to learn to stop and take a moment to be silly with my daughter, laugh with my husband, connect with the ones I love, and put down all the BS and just live life simply. Technology and the hustle and bustle can be exciting and fun but in truth we need to focus on those we love, the memories we are making, and the quality of the time we spending. Quality being a key point!
So what do all of these changes mean for the studio? I always want to make sure my clients have an AMAZING experience. I pride myself on making it incredibly personal from the time we meet and design your session, the laughs we have during the session, and then celebrating your beautiful gallery of portraits in studio for the reveal. Moving forward it's important for me to TRY to keep that same level of one on one experience.
As of June 10th 2020:
I am now able to conduct in-person design consultations at the studio. I do ask that it is limited to no more than 3 people of the same household and I do request that every one wear a mask. Myself and my assistant will both wearing a mask and keeping a safe 6 ft distance from you. I will also not be booking consults or sessions back to back in studio for the time being in order to conduct cleaning and sanitizing of the space.
Sessions: In studio - I am booking headshot sessions, green screen sessions, and milestone sessions in studio. However, I am limiting the number of people to 3 and from the same household. Right now, I will not be conducting and back to back sessions to allow time for cleaning and sanitization. I ask that everyone not being photographed wear a mask. Neither myself or my assistant will be hands on as we normally would be during a session. Ex: parent of child or senior will be a support person when fluffing hair or fixing clothing. We will keep a 6ft distance between us and you as well.
Outdoor Sessions - Senior sessions are limited to the senior and up to 2 support people for fluffing and wardrobe fixes. Again, I ask that those that aren't being photographed wear a mask and we will as well. Myself and my assistant will be keeping a 6 ft distance during shooting.
Family Sessions - I'm currently not booking any extended family sessions (so large groups from different households). However, family sessions are still taking place and we will continue the 6 ft distance and we will not be doing any adjustments or touching during the session.
Reveal Sessions - This is the hardest change for the time being. Again I am limiting the number of people to 3 from the same household per reveal session. I am totally fine with having to book multiple reveals to accommodate my clients who have large families. You will still be placing your order during this time.
Prints and Products - ALL OF MY AMAZING LABS ARE OPEN AND RUNNING. Yay! If you have an order that you've been waiting to place (graduation announcements) now is the time to get them done before the summer gets to crazy. I will be in contact with those that weren't able to get their order in before the labs closed.
You can imagine having a studio that is located on the edge of one county and books sessions in three different states. I am trying my very best to adhere to all of the recommendations from all three states, Lafayette County Health Department, Grant County Health Department, the WEDC, as well as the PPA. Should you have any concerns or questions please feel free to contact me.
I miss you all and I cannot wait to start sessions, this week, and the rest of the summer. Thank you for supporting my studio through this time.
