I'd like to introduce you to Miss Jenna, a class of 2024 senior from Cuba City High School. We are kicking off my favorite "season" of the year, SENIOR SEASON, with the sweetest and most stunning young lady.
"We were driving to Platteville when we saw a girl and a photographer crouched in a cornfield?! What photographer does that? We talked about it all the way to Platteville."
Ladies and gentlemen, I raise my hand and say I am the photographer that crouches in a dusty (unfortunately dry) cornfield with a gorgeous senior to achieve an AMAZING shot. It's funny I tell my seniors that I'm game for anything, as long as it's legal, and they never cease to bring the different. To be fair, Jenna and her Mom asked for a view of their family farm in the background. I don't think they anticipated the many angles we decided to capture.
Jenna was an absolute doll during our first meeting. I knew that we were going to have a fun time during her sessions. She was open to trying new ideas and clothing options, which made for a design consult that had me eager for shoot day! To start Jenna's session, we traveled around downtown Dubuque for an upscale urban style. I love the classiness of her jumpsuit in contrast to the edgy crop and jeans. Ending our first evening together, we headed to Mines of Spain for gorgeous light and wildflowers.
Jenna chose to do an add-on session. We headed to the family farm for some gorgeous golden hour portraits. Thankfully we were able to accomplish this session after the heat had settled from the day. From some random tall grasses to grain bins and ending up in a cornfield, her add-on session may have been my very favorite part.
Thank you Jenna and family for trusting me to capture these memories and for just going with the crazy (fun). Jenna, you have the biggest heart and I know you will do and accomplish many things I can't wait to hear all about it. Enjoy!
