Over the years I've had some pretty awesome senior guys that just go with the flow. Are they doing this for their mom? Probably. However, they've all been so much fun and by the end they freely admit "it wasn't that bad". Those are the exact words of Mr. Logan, class of 2020 from Lancaster High School. You have to know Logan to understand that that statement was the equivalent of "THIS ROCKED". At least, that's how I say it in my head.
Logan, his parents, and his younger sister entered my studio with some great ideas to include his love of hunting, the outdoors, and celebrate all of his sports. Poor Logan, however, became my guinea pig. I have been waiting for the perfect senior guy to walk through the door to try out some of my new portrait ideas for athletes. All of Logan's sports portraits were done in studio and the outcome was awesome. I love how personal we were able to make these portraits. Logan was a champ for putting up with my crazy ideas and when he opened the door to a few of my ideas, I sure wasn't holding back.
For Logan's outdoor session we traveled to Stone Field Village in near Cassville. The different buildings, covered bridge, and chickens made for an epic afternoon. No chickens were harmed in the making of these senior portraits. Weather was not on our side and luckily we were able to finish these portraits before the rain settled in but had to schedule a second day to capture Logan's love for hunting.
If you haven't met me yet, I am not outdoorsy in the sense that I don't hunt or hike. However, I love how these portraits turned out. The view from the cabin was spectacular and even with the rain clouds the session was a breeze.
I want to thank Logan for being an amazing sport through this process and for choosing me to capture his senior portraits. I can't wait to hear about all the success you have finishing your year of athletics and of course beyond. Enjoy!
