We continue to celebrate our Class of 2023 Seniors with Mr. James, a senior from Scales Mound High School, and his session was all about motors and animals.
If at the beginning of senior portrait season you would have told me I'd have the opportunity to take a portrait of a senior with his pet pig and lizard in a field of beautiful tall grasses, I'd have thought you were crazy. James is the Dr. Doolittle of the Class of 2023. His love for all his animals is heartwarming. I may never have an opportunity to take a portrait with a pig, lizard, and senior again but I'm so happy I was invited to try for James and his crew of animals.
I loved how unique and personal this session was to James. He wore coveralls that belonged to his Grandpa, we made sure to capture all his favorite vehicles, and of course portraits of some of his beloved pets. River, the cat, was bound and determined to be in all of the farm portraits. Truly one of the friendliest cats I've ever met.
We traveled from the farm and headed to the East Dubuque bridge for some amazing sunset portraits. James is super proud of his car and wanted to make sure we included it during his session. The light at the bridge was absolutely perfect and the portraits truly speak for themselves. Throughout the entire session I kept thinking James reminded me of a celebrity. At the end of the night, with sunset upon us, it was the portrait of him in front of the bridge with his glasses that made it all click... BUDDY HOLLY VIBES ALL DAY!
Thank you to James and his family for choosing me to capture his senior portrait experience. James you have the biggest and most genuine heart. I have no doubt you do and accomplish amazing things. Enjoy!
