Imani - Class of 2020 Senior High School

What could be better than a girl that can kick butt on the field, command attention on stage, and have an adorably sweet personality? From the moment I met Miss Imani I knew I was going to LOVE, not like, LOVE capturing her portraits. Imani is one of those naturally beautiful young women that just glows on camera. With her sweet and quiet personality this young woman has no idea how gorgeous she truly is on the inside and out. Well, she does now! 

For Miss Imani's session we wanted to travel around Galena Illinois to capture some of the fantastic old architecture and charm. Some people are just hat people. I can't pull off a cute hat to save my life but this young lady, in my opinion, should wear one daily. Before leaving Galena I was able to take some sports inspired portraits of Miss Imani on a bridge I've been wanting to photograph. I love her very simple and clean wardrobe. It was a perfect contrast to the stark white bridge and textures. 

From Galena we traveled to the Benton area to find some of my favorite fall spots. I also made sure to take advantage of Miss Imani's dancing background. She pulled some good moves and made my back hurt while watching. The entire second half of her session was so quietly elegant with soft colors, her gorgeous eyes, and a beautiful setting. However, her water portraits were certainly to die for. As her daddy put it during her reveal, "that's the money shot right there...It looks like an advertisement". 

Miss Imani, I thank you for choosing me to capture your senior portrait experience. You are truly one of the most down to earth and sweet young women I've had the pleasure to meet this year. I wish you the very best of luck as you begin your next chapter. Enjoy!
