An Old Soul

This was my very first year running a senior rep team of all guys, The Dude Crew. I didn't know what to expect because more often than not guys are less excited about getting portraits taken and now they're signing up for a year of portraits?! The three young men that signed up for this program really have blown me away. Lucas, our next Class of 2021 senior celebration, was so full of excitement about this opportunity that it put me at ease from the start. To describe Lucas I would first say he is an old soul. It's not often you meet a young man his age so down to earth, appreciative, mature, and have such character. He ran a self imposed marathon for Autism Awareness when spring sports were canceled. He did this for a cause that is near and dear to his heart and because he has a family member with autism who he adores. Lucas, you make me confident that your generation will truly have an impact in this world. Thank you. 

For Lucas' personal portrait experience it was all about an urban vibe. We traveled in and around Downtown Dubuque and hit up some truly awesome locations. I do really appreciate a young man that likes to get dressed up. Lucas loves his suits and dress clothes and that totally made for some epic portraits. We decided to end the evening with some spectacular sunset portraits off the dock and overlooking the Mississippi. It was the perfect setting and AMAZING light. The following week we captured his sports add on session. Traveling to his high school football and baseball fields and even scoring some pretty sweet portraits by the buses. This has been on my bucket list to make a school bus look rad and I think we pulled it off!
